Our story dates back to the year 2002, and more than a decade would pass before either of us had a clue that there was a story to speak of. You see, that young boy and girl knew of each other, but they didn't really know each other. Were it not for that little girl's older brothers, an opportunity to play for the Tacoma Netslappers' youth basketball team, and a young up-and-coming coach by the name of Dennis Jensen, the man and woman we will celebrate this May 24th may never have crossed paths. Don't worry - you likely aren't alone in thinking of the 2000 film "Love and basketball" as you read this...but I digress. So from elementary through high school, as our two childhoods played out largely independent of each other, any connection between us had not yet come to the forefront. Through those many years, there were two places and two places only where our love story was taking shape - in the minds of our mothers. Well, perhaps "in their minds" doesn't tell the full story - the two of them were happy to share their hopes for our one-day union whenever an opportunity presented itself. For Tricia in particular, it didn't take much for a situation to be deemed appropriate to broach that recurring conversation... "Hey Noah, you have a girlfriend these days?? Oh, no?? Well Sierra is single, just FYI :)." Despite their mothers' measures, highschool passed without a text or call, let alone a hang out. Then there was going separate ways for college, and soon that passed too. But then in the Summer of 2018 having both returned home to Western Washington, Noah set his sites on that pretty lady. The lady who, now so many years removed from 2002, was so obviously the person that made more sense than anything in this world. A few run-ins and texts later, and she apparently thought it made sense too. Just a couple of months together and it felt like their love was a long and lasting one. Now their wedding date is set, and they're filled with gratitude and excitement to celebrate their union with all of you who are most dear.
