Narragansett Town Beach is the centerpiece of our hometown and one of Rhode Island's most popular beaches. Known for its beautiful shoreline, great surf, and views of the Towers, it's the perfect place to spend a few hours soaking up the coastal scenery. Whether you're walking the seawall, watching surfers catch waves, or relaxing on the sand, it's a quintessential Narragansett experience. You'll even catch a glimpse of the beach from our reception at the Towers, where the ocean views are hard to beat.
Block Island holds a special place in our hearts, it's where Louis proposed to Sierra at The Barn at the Spring House. If you have a free day during your stay, we highly recommend making the trip. With its scenic coastal views, charming downtown, beautiful beaches, and relaxed island feel, it's one of our favorite places in Rhode Island and well worth the ferry ride. Our Favorite Adventures: -> Mohegan Bluffs - Take in incredible ocean views from these dramatic cliffs. -> Southeast Lighthouse - Snap a photo and enjoy the scenic surroundings. -> Explore the Island - Shops, beaches, and scenic bike rides await. -> The Spring House Hotel - Grab a drink on the lawn…and visit our proposal spot! -> Ballard’s Beach - It’s a total tourist trap, but perfect for people watching and soaking up the lively summer vibe. Block Island is the perfect escape for a relaxing day full of fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a little romance (and yes, a little amusement at Ballard’s Beach too!).
Just a short drive from Narragansett, Newport is one of Rhode Island’s most popular destinations, known for its waterfront views, historic landmarks, and lively downtown. Spend the day touring famous mansions, walking along the shoreline, browsing local shops, or enjoying a meal by the water. Whether you're looking to explore or simply relax, Newport is well worth the trip. A few of our favorite things to do: -> The Breakers & Newport Mansions - Tour the historic estates and learn about Newport’s past. -> Cliff Walk - Take in ocean views along this scenic shoreline path. -> Bowen's Wharf & America's Cup Avenue - Explore local shops, restaurants, and the harbor. -> Wally’s Wieners - A favorite spot on Thames Street for a quick bite. -> Castle Hill Inn - Enjoy a cocktail while taking in the waterfront views. Newport makes for a great day trip, offering a mix of history, great food, shopping, and classic Rhode Island coastal scenery.
Champlin's, located right in the Port of Galilee, is a local favorite that's extra special to us. Sierra worked here for three summers and somehow never got tired of the seafood. It's still one of our go-to spots for fried seafood, and we never leave without ordering the Fisherman's Platter. Be sure to try one of their famous mudslides while you're there! With casual outdoor dining, harbor views, and a classic Rhode Island seafood shack atmosphere, it's a great place to grab a meal while exploring Galilee. Plus, it's located just steps from George's of Galilee, where we'll be hosting our Friday night welcome party.
Located on Potter Pond in South Kingstown, Matunuck Oyster Bar is a local favorite known for its fresh seafood and waterfront views. The restaurant's oysters are harvested directly from owner Perry Raso's nearby oyster farm, and many of the vegetables served are grown on his organic farm just down the road. With a true pond-to-table approach, Matunuck Oyster Bar offers some of the freshest seafood in Rhode Island and is a great spot to enjoy local oysters, seafood, and drinks while taking in the view. We love this restaurant for its relaxed waterfront setting, delicious oysters, and commitment to sustainability. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy local seafood, and we recommend making reservations in advance to secure your spot!
