Belle Chavarria
Maid of Honor
There was absolutely no doubt in Sierra’s mind that Belle was going to be her Maid of Honor. Yes, they are cousins but their relationship goes beyond that, Belle is Sierra’s best friend. Between these two, there have been many drunken nights, out of town trips, many nights of just laughing, and late night trips to Walmart. Belle has been there for every moment in Sierra’s life from volleyball games to pageant shows. Lazaro had to know from the beginning that when he got with Sierra that Belle was a part of her. It is going to kill Sierra being in a different state and not just next door to Belle but thank God for FaceTime for these two!
Vinny Marquez
Best Man
Vinny and Lazaro also met in 2018 when they were in the same unit in California. This friendship was the type of friendship that you cant really pinpoint when they got super close because it happened so naturally. Since they have been friends Vinny has moved to Florida but still calls Lazaro about 3 times a week. This friendship runs on FaceTime and Call of Duty games. These two talk about everything together, from life’s challenges to what they are doing this weekend. Lazaro can always count on Vinny to be there for him even from across the country.
Delilah Ortiz

Delilah and Sierra have known each other since they were in high school but became super close, super fast when they took anatomy together in college! The two spent many days and nights studying together which usually ended in crying over how hard the course was. But that one class created a bond between the two that will be cherished forever.
Peter Alejo

Peter and Lazaro met a few years back, 2019 to be exact. Peter had just come back from Japan just like Lazaro and they were now both in California. The main memory between these two is when Peter did not tell Lazaro he had hurt his collarbone before PT and Lazaro made him run his PT anyways. Turns out Peters collarbone was actually broken! Lazaro and Peter are the same in the sense that they are quiet and introverted at first but once you get to know them or get a few drinks in them, they are extremely out going!
Ashley Cardenas

Oh where to begin with Ashley? Sierra and Ashley share maaaaaany memories. These two became close around Sierra’s freshman year of high school and Ashley was in 8th grade. Once Sierra’s quince came around, these girls were inseparable. Sierra would call Juanita while Ashley was over to ask if she could stay the night. Move on to Junior year and these two were driving to school together singing their hearts out before class started. Life happened and after high school the two weren’t in constant communication like old times but the sisterhood was always there.
Arianna Quintero

Arianna is the middle sister to Lazaro. Sierra and Arianna clicked from the beginning. Arianna welcomed Sierra into the family with open arms. These two can talk to each other for hours and they can shop for hours. They have so much in common that they are even majoring in the same subject in college! Arianna is also super close to Lazaro, she’s like the little brother he never had. When Lazaro wanted to wrestle when they were little, there Arianna was! Arianna is the best of both worlds.
Domingo Arevalo

Domingo (Mingo) and Lazaro met back in California in 2018 when Lazaro had just got back from Japan. Mingo is also from Texas, just like the couple, Brownsville to be exact. Lazaro and Mingo will go back and forth about how Brownsville isn’t all that great. Mingo is actually back in Texas so that means he will have to go back to California soon to visit Lazaro where they can share their favorite beers together along with the tacos they enjoy. Lazaro said he cannot pick a specific memory to point out with Mingo because there are just too many!
Brissa De Los Angeles

Brissa and Sierra just recently became friends but it seems like they have known each other for a lifetime. These two met when Brissa started dating Lazaros best friend, Michael. The first meeting between two girlfriends can sometimes be strange but not for these two. The first night they met the boys went outside to drink while the girls stayed inside and nothing was strange. They talked about the struggles of life and the struggles of dealing with their boyfriends as if they had been friends for years. Laughs and memories are always shared when these couples are together. In a few months Sierra and Lazaro will actually be seeing Brissa and Michael get married!
Michael Ponce

Michael and Lazaro met in middle school when they were on the same football team, til this day Lazaro will blame a concussion he got in middle school on Michael. Michael and Lazaro were always together in high school, they were so close that they both dyed their hair blonde for football! You can assume their moms were not very happy. The years of friendship got split when Michael went to nursing school after graduation and Lazaro joined the Marine Corps but that didn’t stop Michael from reaching out to his best friend or keeping in contact with Lazaros family. If Lazaro is in town on leave, you can guarantee that him and Michael will hang out at least once before he leaves because certain friendships last forever.
Priscilla Quintero

Priscilla is the oldest of the Quintero sisters and one smart cookie! She is probably the sister that calls Lazaro the most just to see what he is doing (he says it’s annoying but deep down he probably loves to hear from her). Priscilla is the sister that Sierra can relate to the most because they are close in age so adulting at around the same time became a common stressor for them both. They stressed together about college, bills, new apartments, new houses, and life in general. The couple could not imagine their life without a “Priscilla” because she is there when you need a friend to lean on in difficult times but she’s also there when you need a few shots!
Josh Reyes

Josh and Lazaro met recently actually, back in September of 2020 when he came from North Carolina. Both of these guys like playing basketball but Lazaro will tell everyone that Josh sucks at playing. Lazaro says that his best memory of Josh is when he first saw him shoot a basketball and he was uncoordinated… I think we can see why Josh would pass on the opportunity to play with Lazaro! Since Lazaro and Sierra will be in California for the next few years, visiting Josh and the kids will always be a thing to do!
Brenda Duran

Brenda and Sierra go as far back as first grade! 16 years of friendship, that’s crazy! Brenda and Sierra were best friends throughout elementary, these two played volleyball together and against each other, and their parents literally watched them grow up together. Any Spanish Sierra does know is partly because of Brenda’s parents. These girls had many nights together at parties or volleyball games. I’m sure both girls can quote Rocky movies thanks to their volleyball coach. Brenda has and always will be one of Sierra’s best friends no matter the distance.
Cesar Reyes

Cesar met Lazaro in California when they had both come back from Japan back in 2018. These two actually never crossed paths in Japan but ended up at the same unit in California. This friendship was formed by late nights of Call of Duty and alcohol. When Cesar is around you will ALWAYS find him in his chanclas yet he gets sad when its cold. You can bet that when Cesar and Lazaro are together there will not be a silent moment since these two are always cracking jokes at each other.
