Come celebrate our marriage!!!

There are two different versions of how they met. One is Sierra’s version and the other is Jay’s, so we don’t really know which one is true. BUT legend has it Sierra made the first move and they kissed and held hands all the way off in to the sunset (the bar) and never looked back.

It’s Sierras parents and her brothers and his girlfriends last day visiting with us back in Banff as we spent the summer there waiting for Sierras permanent residency to come through before moving indefinitely to Australia. Natalie (Sierra’s brothers girlfriend) had asked Sierra what she was thinking about wearing as we were off going to spend a nice last lunch at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel where we had actually went on our first date. Sierra, naturally, wears something comfortable like a Hawaiian dad shirt, baggy jeans and Teva sandals. Her mom comes around and says "maybe try and put on a skirt or something?" but stubbornly, Sierra said "no who cares". Little did she know, in a couple of hours she would have Jay knelt down in front of her, with the mountains of the Bow Valley in background. It was so dreamy and the fact that Sierra was wearing what she was, made it even better because she had no idea it was even going to happen. They celebrated with shots and bubbles not long after at the Rose&Crown on Banff Ave.

We just want to let all of our friends and family know that we will officially be married in Canada and will be doing 2 small intimate ceremonies; 1 having been done already in Canada and 1 in Australia, both only including family, bridal party and groomsmen who are able to attend. We have decided to do it this way because both of us have some family members and friends who aren’t able to fly such a long way and want to make sure they are a part of their grand daughter and grand son’s, niece and nephew’s, cousins’, and friends’ very special day. We want to make sure to thank everyone who was able to come to out to the engagement party and celebrate with us in Canada, but rest assured, we will be having an even bigger party in Australia as we have been telling our friends and family from the start. So if you weren’t able to attend in Canada, you won’t be missing anything as you’ll hopefully be able to celebrate our marriage with us in Australia :)! We hope you understand our reasoning with our decision but in sending this invitation, would LOVE for you to be a part of our wedding in Australia.
