We met at church sixteen years ago. Sierra was nine and I was ten. I’ll never forget it because she wore a blue tutu, a brightly designed pink shirt, frilly bobby socks and converse. She stood out to me as much then as she does now. From then on the rest is history. We captured each other heart instantly. We were always close growing up. We always knew we loved each other but life had pulled us in different directions but destiny brought us back together.
My family and I had planned a big thanksgiving get together. Unbeknownst to me, Christian and my family were planning something else behind the scenes. We were all outside singing, dancing and laughing. I stepped inside the house for a few minutes and when I came outside everyone was standing in a circle starring at me, smiling. I said “what’s going on, a prayer circle?” We all laughed. As the circle opened up Christian appear on one knee, asking for my hand in marriage. Such a perfect moment. I could not have asked for anything better.
