We are so excited to share our special day with all of you!

"We'll be falling in love to the rhythm of a steel drum band, down in Kokomo". Just kidding there are no steel drum bands in Kokomo, Indiana, but that is the first place he caught my eye. For the next couple of years we slowly became friends, through Sunday night youth group and mission trips. Neither one of us expected how leaving the country would bring us even closer together! In 2013 while on a mission trip to Guatemala we bonded over our similar taste in music, food and love for adventure. While on the flight back we were forced by the lovely Melissa to write each person on the trip an encouraging note. This note apparently gave Carson the courage to tell me how he really felt! And that is where it all officially started. Everyone thought I was crazy for dating someone who was leaving in four months for the Marines but what they didn't know is that it would make us stronger than most high school relationships. Through boot camp, trainings in many different states, being stationed in North Carolina and a six month deployment to Okinawa the short visits we did have made every second more special! We now couldn't imagine our lives without each other!
