FAQs

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in the Farmington/Wilton area for convenience.

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

Getting to Temple, Maine requires a car. If you’re flying in, the closest airports are Portland International Jetport (PWM), Bangor International Airport (BGR), or Boston Logan Airport (BOS). We recommend renting a car from the airport to easily reach the venue and explore the surrounding area during your stay.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Carpooling recommended if possible.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We encourage cocktail attire - women think long/midi dresses, men think anything from khakis and a button down shirt to a suit. We want you to be comfortable! Evening temperatures in Maine can get chilly, so bringing a light layer is a good idea. For women, we recommend avoiding pointy heels, as parts of the celebration will be on grass.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Ceremony begins at 4:00 PM. We recommend arriving at 3:30 PM to get settled.

Question

Will there be outdoor elements?

Answer

Yes, the celebration will be outdoors. We suggest comfortable shoes for walking on grass or gravel.

Question

Are dietary restrictions accommodated?

Answer

Please let us know ahead of time via the RSVP form, and we’ll make sure there’s an option for you.

Question

Are there transportation options?

Answer

Temple, Maine is a rural area, so rideshares like Uber or Lyft aren’t available. We will be arranging transportation to and from the venue, especially for the evening festivities, so guests don’t have to worry about driving at night. If you need to leave your car at the venue, it’s no problem at all—we’ll make sure everyone can get where they need to go safely. Details on pick-up and drop-off times will be provided closer to the wedding.

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

From hiking Tumbledown Mountain to exploring Portland’s Old Port or visiting waterfalls like Smalls Falls and Coos Canyon, there are lots of outdoor adventures and charming towns to explore. Check out our Things To Do page for details.

Question

Can we golf while we’re in Maine?

Answer

Question

Any suggestions for a day trip?

Answer
