Alex and Sierra both grew up in Wagner, SD. They went to school together at Wagner Community School and were high school sweethearts. They started talking in 2016 and haven't stopped since.

Alex proposed to Sierra on Thursday, August 19, 2021. On Thursday's, the church Alex and Sierra go to, usually have worship practice. Sierra was told to be dressed up in either red or blue because the worship team was going to take pictures at 6 p.m. for the church Facebook page. Little did she know that Alex was setting up to propose to her. Alex decorated the church in red roses, which is one of Sierra's favorite flowers. Alex and many family members awaited Sierra's arrival. Long story short, Sierra said YES to Alex and they cannot wait to get married.
