Multiple options. 1. Turn left out of airport cross bridge to get to taxis. they can take you all the way to chacala. 2. Have the taxi bring you to the buses(Pacifico). the buses are roomier, cheaper, and slower. You will arrive in the town of Las Varas. From there, it's a cheap taxi to chacala. 3. Rent a car in Puerto Vallarta. Pricier option.

Plants, Open containers. Anything agriculture. If you bring back tequila or anything food related. it will have to be in a "checked" bag at airport. Little nic knacks can be brought aboard with your personal bag.
