Sierra and Liam met in the study lounge of Mary Markley Hall during their freshman year at the University of Michigan. Their dorm rooms were just ten doors apart, which gave Liam plenty of excuses to stop by. He often “forgot” to buy spoons for his microwaveable Annie’s Mac & Cheese cups and constantly needed help with his Planets and Moons homework. Needless to say, the plan worked. Their first date was a basketball game against UCLA (an overtime win!) and they sealed it with a kiss just as the first snow of the year started to fall. By the end of first semester, they were inseparable (and singlehandedly keeping the pizza bagel industry in business). After a spring break trip to Tahoe in 2018, both were certain this was forever. Even after Liam crashed Sierra’s mom’s car (minor!), they both realized they made a pretty unstoppable team. They shared a love of hosting friends, creating adventures, and ending a long day of skiing & managing chaos in the hot tub! By summer, Sierra was welcomed into the Corriston family with a bang: a Christmas tree on the dock of the shore house in July, a memorable piñata moment, and a full family Springsteen sing-along. And she felt right at home. By then, she was already dreaming about what a future wedding would look like between her party family and his! Ann Arbor was good to them to say the least! Saturdays in the Big House were the best of times, even if the team didn't quite meet expectations (until 2023). Winter meant taking long walks in the snow because Sierra loved it, learning to "cook" via Hello Fresh deliveries & winning beer pong tournaments in the Theta Xi house. After graduation, they were off to Texas. Liam moved to Austin for law school, Sierra to Dallas. After a year of too many miles on I-35, Sierra packed up and moved to Austin where they spent weekends at the pool, exploring West 6th bars, experimenting as amateur bartenders, and lots of late nights with new friends around the kitchen island. The best addition came soon after — Goose (@duckduckgoosethetoller on Instagram). After law school, another move brought the three of them to Dallas. Liam popped the question at the Dallas Arboretum, underneath a canopy of trees where a flash flood arrived the moment he slipped the ring on her finger. A full circle moment to their first, snowy kiss! The surprise family celebration quickly turned into champagne showers and sprints through the mud — in a storm, in her best dress! Fort Worth was the obvious choice to host their wedding. The perfect middle ground for their west coast and east coast families, a genuinely historic Texas backdrop, and enough activities within walking distance of the hotels to give everyone a place to gather all weekend long. The couple can't wait to celebrate their love story with the people that mean the most to them!
