For the welcome event: dress casual! Jeans and a T-shirt or flannel are totally fine and acceptable. For the wedding: Whatever you want, within reason! As long as it's formal I don't have a preference about color, dress length, suit vs. tuxedo. If you feel good in it, that's good enough for me! Besides, I'll probably wear birkenstocks to the reception anyway. As far as trip packing, check the weather and pack layers. You never know what the weather will bring here. The ceremony will be outside so packing a jacket or shawl is a good idea. Cocktail hour will have an indoor/outdoor space and the reception will be inside!
We are planning to do a room block at two different hotels for Friday night and Saturday night so you are welcome to stay there! If you want to stay for longer than the weekend, there are PLENTY of Airbnbs and VRBOs in the area. The venue is near Golden, Colorado so I'd suggest starting your search there. But northwest Denver, Lakewood, and Morrison are all good too. Just keep in mind, if you stay at a hotel, we'll provide a shuttle service to the venue so you can really take advantage of the open bar.
"I would never disrespect my friends by having a cash bar" - Derek Jacob (yes it will be open bar)
We'll be enjoying some absolutely fuego tacos from Dos Santos! It will be a buffet style so you can mix and match your flavors. Everything will be served with a corn tortilla so it is gluten-free friendly. We will also have vegetarian/vegan options!
Sure! The closest resorts are Breckenridge, Keyston, Copper Mountain, and Winter Park. Derek and I will be getting the Ikon pass this year so catch us schralping the gnar at Winter Park or Copper.
Please RSVP by February 1st! If you don't, I'll personally harass you until you do.
We have decided to keep our wedding and reception as adults only and appreciate your understanding!
