FAQs

Question

Is lodging available?

Answer

Yes! We chose this venue for the purpose of being able to sleep some guests on-site. There are multiple accommodations across the property and the venue will bill parties individually. If you wish to stay off-site, their cute sister-hotel is down the street (Sierra Sky Ranch). We’ve stayed there and also recommend! Please contact us for lodging information prior to booking.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Children are welcome - please see your invitation envelope for named guests!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available. You may bring any alcoholic beverage to have in your rooms or the main hall! Alcohol served at the wedding ceremony specifically MUST be via the venue (their licensing requirement).

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, the Lodge at Two Moons is very accommodating of nutrition requirements for the reception dinner. Please forward all requests to Siera.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

At this time, we have everything we need for our home. If you would like to make a donation, small or large, to our honeymoon or home improvement funds, please see the Registry page. Thank you SO much!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! The more perspectives, the better! If you capture moments, please forward them to us as well!

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Two Moons staff are experts of the 5,000ft mountain elevation. Please bring layers, as the weather is unpredictable at this time of year. If it rains, there are indoor back-up options to celebrate at the venue. Please reach out to us for packing recommendations!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

No, unless specifically named by invitation. We have carefully, hand-selected a small group of our closest people that we wish to celebrate this intimate moment with. Please see your invitation envelope for named guests!

Question

What does the overall event look like?

Answer

Our vision for our wedding is to have a "weekend away" type of gathering with the closest friends and family. The all-inclusive venue's check in is 3pm on Sunday the 18th. This day is for settling in, mingling, and a family-style dinner. The 19th is our wedding day - getting ready, ceremony, reception, etc. Tuesday the 20th we will make a buffet breakfast as we pack up and check out by 11am as we reminisce about the beautiful time we had. ALL guests are invited to ALL days of course!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The day of the wedding is semi-formal attire. Please keep in mind it will be an outdoor redwood setting when deciding on shoes - opt for a block heel or bootie for my ladies! The day before and the day after are casual. Picture “elevated cabin”. BRING LAYERS. It will be a crisp fall in the mountains!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

July 1st, 2026. Invitations on their way! If you haven’t received an invitation please reach out! (Sent via USPS June 1st)

Question

Where can I find more information about the venue?

Answer

The Lodge at Two Moons has a website and an instagram that paint a clear picture of what to expect! If any questions are still unanswered, please ask us!

Question

What is the food situation?

Answer

The reception includes a chef-catered meal and full bar service for the night of the event. All other meals will be cooked on site in the main house (Moonfall Lodge) by us and family. Feel free to bring food you'd prefer or would like to cook yourself for the casual meals. Alcoholic beverages are allowed in each cabin. Each cabin has their own kitchen as well!
