Our story starts before Vince and I were even born! Jose taught Jaime Spanish on the school bus in middle school, and in high school Jose and Tino became best friends. Their friendship never ended which led to Vince and I even having baby photos together! Vince’s family then moved to Canyon Lake which led to our parents spending less time together. Years later when Vince and I were in high school a significant person in both our parents lives passed away, at his celebration of life Vince and I saw each other again. We both knew we were each other’s forever, but also knew we had a lot of growing up to do. We immediately became best friends and over the next 4 years we were each other’s favorite person. Throughout the years, the timing never lined up for us, until May 23rd of 2020, the stars finally aligned. For the next two and a half years, Vince and I drove for an hour and a half on the Ortega Hwy every other weekend to visit each other. Both of us were committed to always finding time for one another, and our families were beyond thrilled that we were together and fully supported us. In 2022 Vince and I decided to take a leap and move out together. Needless to say we learned so much about ourselves and each other while we intertwined our two lives. For about a year Vince and I lived together in a little one bedroom apartment with our two dogs Dudley and Ike. During this time we became closer than ever as we built a life together. Although Vince and our families were great at keeping a secret, I knew something big was happening! On November 6th of 2023 Vince proposed at “our beach” where some of our biggest moments have occurred over the years. If you know us, you know that this moment was bound to be both beautiful and awkward, but it was one of the best moments of our lives nonetheless.
