FAQs

Question

Can I stay at the villa?

Answer

At this time, all rooms at the villa have been fully allocated to guests who RSVP’d and requested accommodations. If you requested a room, you should have received an email from Castello di Petrata with your reservation and payment details. Please check your junk folder just in case—but if you didn’t receive anything, let us know!

Question

What’s the process for booking a room at the villa?

Answer

The villa has already sent room confirmations directly to guests, including reservation and payment details. If you requested a room and haven’t received anything, please check your junk folder or let us know!

Question

What’s the best way to get to the destination?

Answer

The easiest way to reach the villa is by flying into Rome, which often has the most affordable and direct flights. From there, you can take a scenic 1 hour 45-minute train ride to Assisi. From the train station, there are plenty of taxis and cabs available. If you're traveling in a large group, we can provide the villa shuttle driver's contact information to coordinate a ride. Shuttles range from about 10 Euros per person and can accommodate up to 25 people! Alternatively, you can fly into Rome and rent a car if you prefer to explore the area on your own schedule :) Remember, this is your vacation too!

Question

Do the villa rooms have air conditioning?

Answer

Absolutely! Every room at the villa is equipped with air conditioning.

Question

Will there be Wi-Fi at the villa?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property.

Question

What's the weather like during the wedding time of year?

Answer

Umbria has amazing weather during the early summer with warm, sunny days and cooler evenings—perfect for enjoying both outdoor and indoor celebrations. The gardens will be in full bloom. Daytime temperatures generally range from the mid-70s to low 80s Fahrenheit. Evenings can be a bit cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl. Of course, weather can be unpredictable, so it’s a good idea to pack layers and comfortable shoes for exploring the beautiful surroundings!

Question

Is there a weather contingency plan?

Answer

Yes! The villa offers beautiful spaces for every part of the wedding, whether indoors or in their stunning “glass house” nestled in the gardens—perfect if we need a backup plan for rain. Fingers crossed for sunshine!

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Recommended attire is black-tie optional—so tuxes are welcome, but definitely not required. For the guys, a suit is totally fine, and for the girls, most will be in long or midi dresses!

Question

What time are the festivities beginning on the wedding day?

Answer

Guests will kick off the wedding day at 4:30 PM with a pre-ceremony cocktail—grab a spritz, some bubbles, wine, beer, or your drink of choice before we exchange our vows. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by cocktail hour at 5:30. Dinner will be served at 7:30, with cake cutting around 9:30—then we’ll be dancing the night away! Since festivities don’t begin until 4:30 PM, you’ll have the morning and afternoon to relax at the villa or explore on your own.
