how should we get around?

Answer

Once you arrive to the walled city, all the wedding events are within short walking distance. The old city is pedestrian friendly. If you are not in the mood to walk, yellow cabs are easy to flag down and relatively inexpensive. If you feel adventurous, you can even take a horse-drawn carriage :)

What is the currency?

Answer

The currency used in Cartagena is Colombian pesos (COP). We recommend exchanging U.S. dollars to Colombian pesos prior to your trip. If you run out of pesos there are several places in the walled city to exchange your dollars. Credit cards are also widely accepted throughout Cartagena. Just be sure to take a credit card with no foreign transaction fees.

We love kids so much but this party and all wedding events are adult only. <3

Am I getting a paper invitation in the mail?

Answer

We decided to opt out of paper invitations. Being millenials, we have decided to do everything through paperless post! If you RSVPed yes on the save the date, we are expecting you on our special day! If you have not answered, please do so. If your RSVP changes, please reach out to the groom or bride. Life happens, we will love you anyways! We will send another invite as a reminder 3 months out from the date.

Where should I get my hair and makeup done?

What is the weather like?

Answer

The weather in Cartagena is hot year round. Please come prepared for very hot weather and scarce air conditioning; dress appropriately. If you expect having issues with such conditions, please consider that when RSVPing and making travel plans, please & thank you!

Cartagena is extremely safe. Millions of tourists visit there every year. Like anywhere, make sure to watch your personal belongings and be mindful of your surroundings.
