Every great love story has a beginning, and ours? Well, it starts with tacos and a questionable decision. Sometime in early April, we first crossed paths online. Now, most people would chat for a while, maybe exchange a few pleasantries before making plans. But not me. Nope—I went full speed ahead and asked him if he wanted to grab some tacos and hang out for a few hours before I had to pick up my little one. Totally normal, right? So, there I was, driving across town to meet this (at the time) complete stranger—on the worst side of town, no less. And if that wasn’t enough of a red flag, I even walked right into his house before we left for tacos. Looking back, I probably should have made better life choices that day, but hey, fate had other plans. We got tacos, but let me tell you—this man was quiet. Meanwhile, I’m over here talking up a storm, filling every awkward silence with my best material, convinced this was a one-and-done situation. But somehow, against all odds, he stuck around. A few months later, we hit it off for real, and by September, he moved in. The rest, as they say, is history. We blended our families, became inseparable, and now here we are—getting ready to say, “I do.” Turns out, sometimes jumping the gun and risking it all for tacos really does lead to forever.
