Travel Note

Overview

We will be providing transportation to and from Florence or Rome to the Wedding Venue outside of Perugia! Chris and I will be arriving in Florence, Saturday, October 29th and will be staying at Hotel Berchielli. We will have two museum tours (Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery) organized and one Chianti Wine Tour. We would love for you to join some or all of the tours. You will be picked up the morning of Thursday, November 3rd and taken to Castello di Petrata where you will be staying Thursday, November 3rd through Saturday, November 5th. Accommodations will be provided so no need to book anything. Saturday, November 5th, we will be providing transportation back to either Rome or Florence. Chris and I will be spending the night at Terrace Pantheon Relais in Rome before flying out the morning of Sunday, November 6th.

We recommend flying into either Florence (FLR) or Rome (FCO)

Hotel

Hotel Berchielli

This is where we will be staying during our time in Florence before we leave for Perugia. We will be arriving on Saturday, October 29th. There are plenty of hotels in the area but we love the views of the Arno and the Ponte Vecchio from this hotel. All of the tours are leaving from this location so staying close is recommended if you would like to join the tours.

Terrace Pantheon Relais

This is where we will be staying the night of Saturday, November 5th before flying out on the 6th. We love the location of this hotel, right by the Pantheon and with easy access to a taxi stand. The hotel has a rooftop bar with great views of the city. There are also plenty of other options in the city.

Train

High Speed Train between Rome and Florence

We recommend flying into either Rome or Florence. If you fly into Rome but would like to join us in Florence, there is a high speed train option between the two cities (1.5hrs) that can easily be booked directly on Italiarail.com. They have multiple train options a day with class levels going from standard to executive.

Train between Rome/Florence and Perugia

We will be providing transportation to the wedding venue outside of Perugia, however, if you would like to spend some time in Perugia earlier in the week, you can easily book a regional train from either Rome or Florence to Perugia. This is a slower train than the one that runs between Florence and Rome.

Additional Transportation Options to the Venue

If you cannot make the time of the shuttle in Rome or Florence to the venue, we will setup individual rides. During the RSVP process, you can provide your information so we know where to pick you up and at what time.
