Our Story

From the Bride and Groom's Prespective

Her Story: It was like any other gathering at the gym after Wednesday night church. Little did I know, that I would meet my soulmate. I thought Clayton was super sweet and a nice guy. We hung out together with our youth group and eventually branched off into dates. On September 27, 2013, he asked me out on the football field for homecoming. We dated for what seemed like forever. Summer of 2018, I went to visit Clayton at Camp Lejeune, NC. This would be my last trip to NC before he got deployed. He wanted to take some photos for deployment, and I happily obliged! We stopped at a pier and this is where he proposed. It was the most shocking, emotional, and EXCITING moment I have ever experienced at once. Fast forward to the wedding planning, it has been difficult long distance, but we have made do. We are more than ecstatic about getting married and FINALLY living in the same city once again! I love Clayton with my whole "Hart!" His Story: When I first met Sidney it was on a Wednesday night after church. Friends introduced us, and I thought she was cute but I didn't follow through with flirting or asking her out. Heck, we were just kids. Not much time went by before I told my friends I thought she was cute and I wanted to pursue her. I had never had a girlfriend before so I didn't know what I was doing. I started talking to her more, giving her compliments, going to her volleyball games after football practice, and texting all night. I was just doing everything I could to have an excuse to talk/see her. Eventually, I asked her to homecoming and then asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes and so our story began. Since then I've graduated high school, went to college, and served in the Marine Corps. One constant in all of those drastically different lifestyles that has stayed the same is Sidney. She's always been there for me and had my best interest at heart. These past 7 years she has been my best friend, and now I get to spend forever with her! I love Sidney!
