It all started with a Facebook friend request in May of 2017; I took a peek at his Facebook page, we had a handful of mutual friends and I thought he was cute and didn’t look like a serial killer so I accepted it and moved on with my life, then I got an Instagram follow request from the same cute guy, accepted it and moved along. A few days later I got a Snapchat friend request from Chase Cales the same name of the guy that had already stalked my Facebook and Instagram and accepted that one and moved along. A few days later I got a message from this very persistent man and we started chatting, I drug him along for a couple months before I finally agreed to a date to actually meet for the first time in July. Our quick dinner turned into staying until they started closing down the restaurant and we decided to head to the bar across the street for a beer which lead to a couple more hours of sharing stories. I knew he was special from day one but I didn’t realize the impact he was going to have on Link and my life until the two of them met, he stepped in like he had never missed a moment of Link’s life and they became the best of friends, bonding over hot wheels and snacks and I knew that was it, I met the man that I wanted to share the rest of our lives with. In August a few days after we celebrated our 3rd year together we headed out for family pictures, I was so confused as our photographer Briley put us into the weirdest positions a few feet apart facing each other and while he were passing weird faces and poses back forth Chase reached into his pocket and began to get down on one knee, I was literally in shock as he kneeled there ring in hand and asked me to marry him. 3 years, two moves one sweet Cecelia and lots of chips and queso later, we have built the most beautiful life.
