FAQs

Question

Can I still RSVP?

Answer

The RSVP deadline was March 13, 2026. If you didn't respond by that date, you were marked as "not attending." We would love to celebrate with you; however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVP's.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

If you already RVSP'd "attending," but find you will not be able to make it. Please notify the bride or groom as soon as you are aware.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be indicated on your RSVP card.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

All are welcome at Mass, but we respectfully request that our reception be a child-free celebration.

Question

What is a spring formal dress code?

Answer

For men, we recommend dark suits or black tuxedos. For women, we recommend maxi or floor length gowns in vibrant or pastel colors. Floral prints for gowns are also welcome. Need some inspiration? Take a look at this mood board: https://pin.it/1fwF5rVhb

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our wedding Mass will begin punctually at 1 p.m. Please arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. If you arrive late, you won't be allowed in the church until after the wedding procession.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, parking is available in the horseshoe next to the church or in Loyola’s parking garage behind the church, but space is not guaranteed. You do not have to pay to park on campus. For the reception, street parking is available on S Peters St. There are also premium parking lots nearby.

Question

What can I expect at a Catholic Mass?

Answer

We will have a full Mass. It will be about an hour long. We will have programs available for you to follow along. In keeping with Catholic tradition, Holy Communion will be offered during the Mass. We kindly ask that only practicing Catholics who are properly disposed receive Communion. All others are invited to remain seated or come forward with arms crossed to receive a blessing. Question

Why is there a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will have a 2-hour gap, commonly known as the "Catholic gap,” between our wedding ceremony and reception due to scheduling for the church and reception venue. There is nothing formally scheduled for this time, but we hope this can serve as an opportunity for family and friends to socialize, or a useful window to take kids home, change outfits for the evening or enjoy an outing on what will hopefully be a nice spring afternoon in New Orleans.
