Mandatory Meal Selection

Answer

Please select the meal you want by April 15th. This will be the plate/meal that will be served to you on the day of reception. If no meal is selected, we will select for you. You can not decide what meal you want the day of or days prior. The caterers requires 30 days prior.

"CDC announced an Order requiring all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country (ex.Mexico) to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to present the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight". So as of now, per CDC COVID testing is NOT required to enter Mexico, but it is required to take a COVID test within 72 hours of the return flight back from Mexico to the US. A negative COVID-19 test result is required to board the return flight back to the US. Please check the CDC website for the latest updates on COVID-19 testing/results for flights. Also, please check with your state's requirements for quarantine since it is changing frequently

Do i need to get tested (Covid) to enter Mexico

Answer

no. but it is recommended to get tested. If you test positive in Mexico, you will not be allowed to enter back into US.

Do I need to have negative test results to get back into the U.S.

Answer

Yes. The resort will provide testing. If you are staying more than 3 nights or more, they will offer it for free. if you are planning to stay less than 3 days, you should call the Resort and tell them your departure with enough time, so they can arrange testing for you-you will need to pay for the testing. Remember to schedule your covid test within 72 hours of your return flight back to the U.S. from Mexico.

If I book other than from Destination Weddings, using Expedia or Apple Vacactions, etc..., can i still attend the wedding?

Answer

If you have a room in Generations or El Dorado Royale Resort, you can still attend the chanthamcharth/mylanchi, ceremony and reception. You must provide us your name and room #, and when you are arriving and leaving. We need to provide that to the wedding coordinator.

Can Rene help me with rooms if I book other than DestinationWeddings?

Answer

No. She is from Destination Weddings, that works with Karisma Resorts (Generation and El Dorado Royale). She can not help you with rooms or wedding information. It is recommended to call the resort 1.866.527.4762, for Generations or El Dorado to confirm they recieve your reservation and confirm before you depart to make sure it is still there.

Will i get shuttle from airport if I book from Destination Wedding?

Will I get shuttle if I book other than Destination Wedding?

Answer

That is dependent on who you booked with. The service you use, you must find out if they offer shuttle. If they do not, there will be a payment to book one.

Can i attend wedding if I stay at an AirBnb or another resort?

Answer

Yes. But you will need to buy a day pass for each person for each day to enter Generations/El Dorado Royale. The wedding coordinator will need your name to provide the credentials to get into the resort beforehand. Transportation to the resort and back will not be provided.

Do i need visa to enter mexico

Answer

If you are a US Citizen you need a valid US Passport. If you are a green card holder. You will need green card and valid country of origin passport. If you are not US citizen or green card holder, you will need to call mexican consulate near you to find out. I can't book for less than 3 days on Destination Weddings, what can i do?

The website allows for minimum of 3 days to book. If you wish to book for less than 3 nights, you may call or email Rene Wills (866-611-2707 or rwills@destinationweddings.com). She will try to get the same deal as the group block of 3 nights for the 2 nights

Is transportation provided inside the resort

Answer

Depending which side of the resort (family or adult only), the coordinator will have golf cart shuttles to get you to the event from the hotel.

I keep calling Sibyl but it goes straight to her voicemail, why is that?

Answer

If you know her, then you know her phone battery is dead or is or close to 1% and she's not charging her phone even though she has 3 portable battery chargers and multiple wall chargers

I missed the deadline to book rooms thru the room block, what can I do now?

Answer

You can still book through Destination Weddings. The chances of getting discounted rate are dependent on that day. But we must provide the full list rsvp'd for chanthamcharth/mylanchi and reception to the wedding coordinator by April 10th. There are no exceptions. If we have not recieved and RSVP by 4/10/2021 it will be difficult to get into the events.

Should I choose the travel protection plan and airline insurance?

I just got off for the dates, and it's past the rsvp date, can i still attend?

No April 10th is the cutoff for RSVP.
