How we met

In a New York minute ✨

It still feels like yesterday, I was being asked to play Monday night softball for the 4th season, even after I said I was too old for Co-Ed softball on work nights. However Chaz was persistent, so I agreed. When I got there to meet the new team mates, I can remember having to look up to introduce myself to the left fielder, who I can now call my fiancé. Nick and I met at the softball fields in Beaumont in 2016. But for the whole first season I just called him “older Foshee” because I continuously got Nick and Eric mixed up 😂 After warming up to each other it didn’t take long for him to ask me to hang out. We bonded over sports, hobbies and of course our competitiveness to win at anything. A few dates and the rest is history. In the past 2 years we have both grown so much, we grew into two people we can be proud of. We made a relationship that can with-stand any storm out of nothing. Without a doubt we have had ups and downs, and there were times I didn’t know if this day was in our future, but overcoming all of the trials and tribulations makes this day even more enjoyable. If you know Nick at all, you know he is shy and gets embarrassed very easily, and if you know me, you know I’m the opposite. So me posing in the middle of time square for a few pictures isn’t out of character for me, however dropping to one knee & putting all the attention on himself is way out of Nicks character, but I’m so thankful he did it. I said YES in a New York minute. I was able to agree to spend forever with my best friend and soul mate in the most memorable spot.

For all the days along the way
