The closest airport is John Wayne Airport (SNA), about 20-25 minutes from Laguna Beach. This is the easiest and most convenient option.

You can also fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), but keep in mind that traffic can add significant travel time. If you do land at LAX, try to avoid arriving during rush hour (weekdays 7-10 AM & 4-7 PM), as traffic to Laguna Beach can take up to 2.5+ hours. Getting to Laguna Beach from LAX: 1) You can rent a car. 2) You can Uber/Lyft. If you choose this option, see instructions below: - Exit the terminal and find the signs for the "LAX-it" shuttle (green signs) -- this is the shuttle you have to ride to get to the designated rideshare pickup area. - Get on the shuttle and open your rideshare app to request a pickup from "LAX-it" lot. - Meet your driver at the assigned pickup spot/number station.

August is warm (70s-80s°F) with cool evenings (60s°F). Pack light clothing, comfy shoes, bathing suits, and a jacket for evenings. The beauty of Laguna Beach is that it is a lux beach-town. This means if you are going out to dinner, you can dress up or you can keep it casual!
