When I started working at the same company as Tom, he made it his mission to “accidentally” run into me during work. I didn’t think much of it, until we ended up sitting next to each other at a dinner with mutual friends. We started texting. When our texts got too long, we (embarrassingly) started writing paragraphs to each other over email. Emails turned into late night phone calls, which turned into me deciding to go on my first camping trip with Tom in Joshua Tree. We ended up playing the “36 Questions That Lead to Love” game from the New York Times, and when we got to the question where we had to sustain eye contact for 4 minutes… well the rest they say is history.

Tom and I planned an Oregon roadtrip with Sushi, but little did I know that he was planning on proposing during this trip! The first stop on our trip was to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. It was a gorgeous sunset that evening, and he suggested we take a family photo. He got the tripod ready and then told me that “Sushi has a surprise…” I was confused by what he meant, until he got down on one knee and revealed the ring that was hiding in Sushi’s fur! I was so completely caught off guard, but I think I managed to say “YES” haha. We’re so excited to get married now in Oregon and to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you!!
