Our story began in 2019 during our college years at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, even though we had lived just minutes apart our entire lives without ever truly crossing paths. Later, we discovered that Shukura had gone to school with many of Wolkims’ friends — a quiet reminder that life had been gently placing us near each other, patiently waiting for the right moment. When we finally connected, everything shifted. Wolkims’ kindness, patience, and steady love made Shukura feel seen in a way she never had before. Shukura’s warmth, loyalty, and light drew Wolkims in just as deeply. From that moment on, we became inseparable — choosing one another every day and building a love rooted in trust, laughter, and intention. Our first date was simple: Chipotle. Burrito bowls, butterflies, and conversation that flowed effortlessly. We had no idea then that such a small moment would become part of our story — or that one day our daughter would love Chipotle as if it were written into her destiny too. In 2021, we took a leap of faith and moved to Texas together, guided by love, courage, and the belief that home is wherever we are together. There, we built a life that felt deeply and unmistakably ours. In 2022, our hearts expanded in the most beautiful way when we welcomed our daughter. She became our greatest blessing — deepening our love, strengthening our bond, and teaching us the true meaning of family. In April 2024, surrounded by peace, certainty, and the love we had nurtured day by day, Wolkims asked Shukura to spend forever with him. With full hearts and joyful tears, she said yes. As we prepare for this next chapter, we are filled with gratitude — for the journey that shaped us, for the love that continues to grow, and for the family and friends who have supported us every step of the way.
