We met in Baltimore, Maryland at an apartment community where Dave interviewed me for a sales manager position. The interview was approximately an hour and a half long where we discussed a lot of baseball (I made fun of him for being a Tigers fan) and a little bit of the job duties. After working with Dave for a couple of weeks, I realized the job wasn't for me and (abruptly) decided to go back to my former company. The job came with a complimentary apartment, to which I had to vacate after giving my notice. During my move (with the help of a couple of girlfriends and a friend's truck) Dave had stopped over to learn more about my decision to leave, and to attempt to talk me into staying. After 20 minutes of failed persuasion, Dave wished me luck and left. As he was leaving, my apartment door wasn't even all the way shut when both of my friends (who were there helping, witnessing) simultaneously said, "he is IN LOVE with you!" Fast forward 2 weeks. I had just left the nail salon when I received a text message from Dave reminding me that I owe him lasagna (I must've bragged about my skills in Italian cuisine at some point). I remember being very excited that I 'didn't screw up my chances' and told him I was available "whenever!" I didn't end up making him lasagna, but he took me to my first NBA game at the Verizon Center in Washington DC on February 18th, 2016. After the game, we meandered over to the Green Turtle restaurant where he confessed his love for me over IPA's and crab dip. The rest is history.
