There are three surf breaks within walking distance of the hotel: Old Mans - directly in front of the hotel (best for beginners and where the surf school does lessons) La Roca - 100 yards north of old mans (big rock sticking out of the water) Zippers - around the north point of the beach (difficult to walk to when the tide is up)
Roughly 30 minutes south of the Cabo Surf Hotel by car. We recommend visiting three general areas: The Beachfront - There are plenty of beach clubs to choose from (We recommend Mango Deck or The Office), as well as swimming and jet skiing opportunities The Marina - Walk around and check out everything from 300' mega yachts to 8' ocean kayaks. Fishing, diving, and sunset cruise trips can also be booked out of here Downtown - Where all the clubs are (We recommend Cabo Wabo (Sammy Hagar's club), The Giggling Marlin, and Squid Roe)
5 minutes from the Cabo Surf Hotelb by car. The old fishing town of San José del Cabo has been the county seat of Los Cabos since 1928. Tourism to this area began to take off around 1970 became the destination for international travelers thanks to the beaches, sport fishing, quiet street of the area. There was an abundance of talented craftsmen, painters, musicians and other artists, as well as regular colorful fairs, events, and festivals. Today there are many festivities and other events happening on a regular basis.
