FAQs

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Promise Farms in Manheim, Pennsylvania. More details can be found on the “Schedule” page of our website!

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We kindly ask guests to arrive between 3:30 and 3:50 PM to allow time to get seated and settled. Doors will close at 3:55 PM so we can begin on time — so don’t be fashionably late for this one!

Question

Where do we park upon arrival?

Answer

Promise Farms provides a large parking lot directly next to the main building where the ceremony is being held. If you’re like Sammie, you’re welcome to go on Google and change your view to “satellite” to view an overhead of the venue and mentally plan accordingly.

Question

Is this an outdoor or indoor event?

Answer

We are manifesting beautiful weather as the ceremony is going to be outside with an indoor reception to follow.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones — truly! But due to space limitations (and let’s be honest, the open bar and coolers), we’re only able to include the children specifically listed on your invitation. We totally understand how much of a treat a night out can be, so we hope this gives parents a chance to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening kid-free. If you're able to line up a sitter, consider this your official encouragement to take the night off — you deserve it! Thanks so much for understanding and helping us keep things simple, safe, and fun for everyone!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Absolutely there is! We’re excited to celebrate with you in style! Our dress code is formal to semi-formal, so please plan to dress accordingly. This means elegant cocktail dresses, gowns, or dressy jumpsuits for the ladies, and suits or dress pants paired with a blazer for the gentlemen. Ties are welcome but optional for a semi-formal look. Please leave casual clothes and jeans at home — we want everyone looking their best for this special day! And of course, as tradition goes, white is reserved for the bride, so kindly avoid wearing white, beige, cream.. think fall colors such as dark green, burnt orange, burgundy sort of color wheel. Bridesmaids will be wearing a deep wine purple. We can’t wait to see you all dressed up and ready to celebrate!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We attempted to make this as simple as possible.. please visit the “RSVP” page at the top of our website and enter your name. You will then be shown your name and any others listed on your invitation. You are able to RSVP for the ceremony, the reception, or both, as well as have the opportunity to tell us about any handicap or dietary restrictions that we should know about. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience and no later than 22 September 2025. We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. We are only able to accommodate those guests formally listed on your invitation. Meaning, the invitation was made out to “{Your Name} & Guest”

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Fabulous question. We will have both a light and a dark beer available on site (served either from a trailer or coolers — still to be decided). In addition to beer, our bar will feature a Bride’s Choice and a Groom’s Choice cocktail for guests to enjoy! A few important notes, per Promise Farms’ alcohol policy: Shots are not allowed — under any circumstances Open alcohol is permitted in the barn only — drinks must stay inside No outside alcohol is allowed (this includes flasks) Alcohol service will end at 9:00 PM sharp Thank you in advance for respecting the venue’s rules so we can all enjoy a safe and fun celebration! 🥂

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony, and we kindly ask that all phones be silenced and put away during that time. We’ve hired a fantastic photographer to capture every moment, and we’d much rather see your smiling faces in the photos than a sea of screens. During the reception, feel free to take your own pictures — just please be mindful of our photographer. They’re working hard to document our day, and we ask that you offer them the space, respect, and courtesy they need to do what they do best. Thank you for helping us stay present, soak it all in, and make sure the memories are beautifully captured (without anyone photobombing the first kiss)!
