For our first date, we planned on going out to dinner, but of course I ended up locking myself out of my apartment (great first impression). Jake and his two friends came to my apartment to try to break in, and failed miserably. We ended up "romantically" going to his friends house to play beer pong instead. Ever since that night we became inseparable. We share a lot of the same interests such as spending time with friends and family, going to husker games, boating, campfires, concerts, and just being together. Last year we closed on our first house, and have enjoyed doing many different projects and home improvements together. We also own an adorable basset hound named Molly! Even though our story isn't a fairy tale, it's perfect in our minds. :) I believe love has the chance to come to us when we're open to it. Love found Jake and I, and led us down a wonderful road of friendship, romance, and laughter. Ever since the first day we met, we absolutely adored each other. We crossed into each other’s worlds and changed both our lives for the better. People use the expression of someone having your back. The loveliest thing for me about truly being in love, is that Jake doesn't just have my back, he looks out for all of me. I know that no matter what happens in life, he will be there for me, and I will be there for him.
