A mandvo is a Gujarati pre-wedding religious ceremony performed by the family to bless the upcoming marriage, often involving prayers and rituals that mark the formal start of wedding events. A pithi is a joyful pre-wedding ritual where family and friends apply a turmeric-based paste to the bride or groom to bless them, purify them, and give them a bridal “glow” before the wedding.
