Located in the middle of lush green hills, Pandav Caves are religiously prominent among Hindus and attract a number of tourists throughout the year. As per Mahabharata, when Pandavas lost to Kauravas and were forced into exile, they excavated these five caves and stayed here. The site is so important that the station of Pachmarhi is named after these five caves. These caves, overlooking a garden, are believed to be more than 1000-year-old.
