Where should I stay?

Answer

Our venue, Antrim 1844 has a limited number of rooms available for around $250-$350/night. Please let Shreya and Nick know if you would like to stay there. Rooms will be assigned based on availability and interest. We also have a room block reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott Gettysburg, 20 minutes away from the venue, use code KANAL STEINGART WEDDING to receive the rate of $159/night.

Will transportation be provided?

For those staying at the Courtyard Marriott, transportation will be provided to and from the venue.

What Should I Wear?

Answer

For an Indian-American wedding, bright, celebratory colors like deep blues, purples, pinks, greens, and golds, or pastels are recommended for the main ceremony. Avoid white and red outfits, which is typically reserved for the bride. For Women Traditional Indian Attire: Saree: A long, draped piece of fabric worn over a blouse. Lehenga: A skirt worn with a crop top or blouse. Anarkali: A long, flowing tunic with churidar (tight-fitting pants). Sharara: A set of flared pants worn with a top. What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM. Please arrive no later than 4:30 PM.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

To maintain an intimate celebration, we kindly request an adults-only ceremony and reception, except for children of close family and dearest friends.

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at Antrim 1844. For guests staying onsite, each cottage has its own parking lot. For guests driving to the venue, there is a lot across the street from the venue to park at.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, the reception will be indoors with some outdoor seating. Please keep in mind, the ceremony will be on grass and it gets very hot in August in DC.
