We are grateful that all of our invited wedding guests are vaccinated, and we ask that you please obtain a test no later than 72 hours in advance of our wedding either at home or here in DC as another means of reducing risk. CVS has rapid tests available for easy purchase: https://www.cvs.com/shop/abbott-binaxnow-covid-19-antigen-self-test-2-tests-for-serial-testing-prodid-550147; and DC has plenty of on-site locations, and here is one nearby the hotels: https://app.samedayhealth.com/booking/washington-dc--georgetown--m-street?wmode=opaque
We'll be serving a buffet-style middle-eastern food from one of our favorite places, Shouk! The food is entirely vegan and many options are gluten-free. You can check the menu out here to get an idea of the food options we'll be serving: https://shouk.com/pages/menu
We recommend taking the metro to the Farragut West station (orange, blue, and silver line) and walking from the station (about 5 minutes). Otherwise, you can easily get a Lyft or Taxi from your hotel.
We do not recommend driving into the city, as there is very limited and restrictive parking downtown, and parking garages are extremely pricey ($20-40 for a few hours even!). If you do end up driving, there are a few parking garages located in walking distance: Colonial Parking - one on 1800 G Street NW and one on 1776 G St NW, and One Parking on 1730 Pennsylvania Ave.
Fingers crossed, the weather in DC the past two years on Nov. 6 was in the mid-60's and partly sunny. We do plan to hold the ceremony outside, so you may want to bring a light jacket.
We ask all guests RSVP by October 6.
