We met on Bumble in August of 2021. We quickly decided to go out on a first date. Derrick chose Mi Mexico in Lexington. We stayed together the entire night until the restaurant was putting the chairs on the tables. We walked out together, and the rest is history.

Katie was dreading her 30th birthday. Derrick wanted it to be special. So he decided to propose in front of our Christmas tree on December 27, 2024. This made Katie’s 30th birthday the best day ever and 30 was no big deal.
