Things To Do

Fond

1601 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75201

Our first (official) date was at a unique and special concept called frank. Despite shark tacos being on the menu that night, we are now engaged to be married...Sadly frank. is currently on a hiatus, but Chef Jennie Kelley (the mastermind behind frank.) has opened Fond with her partner Chef Brandon Moore. We encourage you to stop by Fond for a bite made by wonderful chefs who were present for the beginning of our love story.

The Crafty Irishman

1800 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75201

Oh, we were in your dream last night? Were we drinking Guinness? No? Then it wasn't us!! Stop by The Crafty Irishman for a great pour of Guinness and some bar food. That's probably what we would be doing if it wasn't our wedding weekend!

Pegasus City Brewery

1508 Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75201

In the spirit of our love for breweries, stop by Pegasus City Brewery for a pint and some shuffleboard. Roam around inside and look at the pieces of Dallas history that are displayed while sipping on some great beer. They don't distribute their beers, so stop in and drink it while you're in the area!

Giant Eyeball

1601 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75201

Dallas's Eye is an iconic landmark, and it was once the venue for a Kaskade concert we attended with great friends. There is an open green space in front of the Eye, so take a walk, bring a book or some headphones, and hang out for a bit.

AT&T Discovery District

308 South Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202

Head over to the AT&T Discovery District to walk around and enjoy some interesting art sculptures! We have spent many days wandering around the area while killing time before concerts, most recently before Tiësto performed a set right outside of Cowboy Chow.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex

2708 Routh Street, Dallas, TX 75201

If you're ever wondering what Emily's ideal Sunday looks like, it's to be on the Las Palmas patio with Landon and great friends. Although this would be a drive from the venue area, it's one of the best spots in Dallas. If you go, make sure you order a bowl of Queso Blanco, Tacos al Carbón with Wagyu, and a frozen margarita with sugar on the rim. You won't regret it!

Manhattan Project Beer Co.

2215 Sulphur Street, Dallas, TX 75208

If you're interested in a drive just south of the city, Manhattan Project Beer Company is a great place to sit, relax, chat, and enjoy some delicious coffee, beer, and food. We've spent many mornings and afternoons at this place, including working remotely while enjoying matcha and espresso, celebrating Emily's 30th birthday, and soaking up some sun while enjoying french fries and beer. Order some fried chicken, shrimp and grits, or pancakes, but whatever you do...you MUST order the fries!!

Bishop Arts District

Dallas, TX 75208

The Bishop Arts District is home to many of our favorite spots, including Trades Deli for sandwiches and Taco y Vino for, you guessed it, tacos and wine! There is also a board game shop called House Rules where we go to pick out two-player games to bring to breweries and group games to play at home our friends. Bishop Arts is a great place to walk around, shop, and enjoy some great food.
