In 1992 Kara and Justin met at their mother's church (Grace Reformed Baptist Church), they were the ages of 2 & 4, their mothers were and to this day best friends and would take turns babysitting them. Most of their early memories are of tormenting & teasing each other. Through the years as they got older their hate for one another turned into secret crushes. So the teasing became more like flirting and the tormenting became showing off, but the timing was never in their favor plus they didn't even know if the other one liked them back. Until February of 2020 the year of Covid, timing was finally on their side. Their first date was on Valentine's Day that year. While others would say 2020 was the worst year, you can hear them say “2020 was the best year!”. 👩‍❤️‍👨 We would spend days & nights with each other going to see Sunrises at the beach, hiking around Long Island, going into the city to see attractions like Arcadia Earth, and central park. There was also that spontaneous road trip to Maine we took with Boobear. While going more north in Maine Justins jeep decided to break down so we got stuck there fortunately for us it was the perfect location and it turned out to be the best part of the entire road trip. 6 months after dating in August 2020 Justin & I went to the Oyster Bay Arboretum with my mother and Justin got on one knee in front of a fountain and it was there when I said yes. Anthony hid behind bushes and statues to take pictures of the event so I wouldn't even know until he walk from behind one of the fountains. I was so shocked and so happy that Justin planned all of it. Some may think it was fast but we finally understand the saying "When you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you just know".❤ We are now living on the outskirts of Huntington Village. We enjoy walks in the nearby park, around the village & eating at the local restaurants.
