We’re getting hitched on a beach!

Although theres many we would love to have attend, we are going to have a very small intimate ceremony with just our immediate family. We want to thank everyone who has congratulated us and offered their help and love. For brittanys birthday this year, we decided to go to Michigan to go salmon fishing. That morning we were supposed to go fishing and meet a friend at 5:15am! We went to bed late and ate some not so nutritional food at 11pm the night before. Matt got up and was getting ready to go and Brittany was still snoozing after taking a couple dramamine and didn’t feel great and didn’t want to go. Matt had to gently nudge her to get up. She got up and took another dramamine (not realizing it makes you very tired) and got on the boat. Brittany ended up taking a nap for a bit then finally got up and was feeling better. Everyone was relaxing enjoying the weather waiting for some fish to bite. While brittany was being distracted, Matt asked the captain for a favor and he wanted to propose….and showed him his idea. The captain figured out a plan. The captain told a story about how anything can get caught on a line, for instance a bird one time was caught on the downrigger weight and showed us a picture of it. The fish weren’t biting so we decided to call it a day and reel in the lines. He asked me to reel one in then the captain helped the rest of the way, then he says something is caught on the line and doesnt know what it is, Brittany was curious and came over and as he pulled up the weight, there was a purple downrigger shaped like a fish that said Britt on it….and behind it was a flag that said will you marry me? Love Matt! He pulled off the perfect surprise and a very creative proposal.
