WHEN WILL CURACAO REOPEN ITS BORDERS TO U.S. TOURISTS?

Answer

Beginning January 1, 2021, Curacao will no longer restrict entry from certain U.S. states for those travelers who comply with all other requirements (https://www.curacao.com/en/questions/health-and-vaccinations/response-to-novel-coronavirus-covid-19). *** Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel. A negative PCR test is currently required (as of 3/2021) NOT a Rapid test. *** Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel. 1. Travelers are required to complete an online immigration (ED) card prior to travel https://dicardcuracao.com/dicard 2. Travelers are required to complete a Health Department Passenger Locator Card prior to travel https://dicardcuracao.com/dicard 3. Travelers entering Curaçao will need to show a negative result from a certified COVID-19 PCR-test (Please note: only PCR tests are accepted. Rapid Test will not be accepted.) and carry a printed document of proof with them. IS A NEGATIVE COVID TEST REQUIRED TO RE-ENTER THE US? WHERE CAN I GET A PCR COVID TEST BEFORE FLYING BACK TO THE US? ARE RESULTS RELIABLY AVAILABLE WITHIN 72 HOURS?

Yes. Currently, a negative COVID-19 PCR test is required to be taken within 72 hours BEFORE entry back into the United States. WHEN SHOULD I REQUEST MY PASSPORT?

Answer

Typically, processing a new passport takes up to a couple of months, but also depends on the time of year as well. Let them know that they can get all of the most up to date information at travel.state.gov. Processing Times: Apply now for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks*. Pay an additional $60 if you want to expedite your passport in 4-6 weeks. These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail and in-person at an acceptance facility in your community. Most acceptance facilities such as post offices, clerks of court, and libraries are open and accepting passport applications. Apply by mail when possible because it is a safe, contactless option for certain services. WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY RESERVATION?

Answer

We encourage you to make your reservation first, and as soon as possible. In order to book your hotel stay, you simply need to put down a deposit and can make the remaining payments in increments leading up to the final payment date (airline deposits and payment schedules will vary).

WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE OF CURACAO?

Answer

Curacaons are, by nature and necessity, masters of language! Most native speakers will use Dutch, English, and Papiamentu equally! Dutch is the official language, while Papiamentu is the most common. Spanish is also spoken by most Curacaons, and English is widely used :) You will not have any problems communicating on the island ;)
