Below are some travel recommendations for a convenient, fun weekend! Key tips to note (seriously read these): *The Welcome Party & Wedding Venue are about a 30 min. drive from each other. *2 NCAA March Madness games are being held in Sacramento the same weekend, so we recommend booking travel + accommodations ASAP for the best possible rates. *As the wedding venue is somewhat remote, please organize your own ground transportation to/from the wedding venue in advance. Pre-schedule any Ubers/Lyfts as they are unlikely to be available on demand late at night. If you are renting a car, the wedding venue has on-site parking. *We also have a hotel block reserved at the location below, which is between the welcome party and ceremony location. Last day to book is February 17, 2023.

Flight

Sacramento International Airport

This will be the closest major airport to the weekend's festivities. Since it's just a 10 minute drive to the Welcome Party and a 40 minute drive to the Wedding Venue, we recommend this airport if you're flying in. If this airport doesn't work for your travel plans, fear not! Other major airports like Oakland International Airport (OAK) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) are only a 1hr 20min and 1hr 30min drive away from the wedding venue.

This hotel is one of the closest options to the wedding venue. We have a room block between Friday, March 17-Sunday, March 19. Last day to book is February 17, 2023. If this hotel doesn't work for you, or the block is full, we recommend other hotels in the Elk Grove area as it is equidistant from both the Welcome Party and Wedding Ceremony/Reception Venues (~15-20 min drive each way). Otherwise, Sacramento proper will have the most hotel options and the city is only a 30 minute drive away from the Wedding Venue.

Things to Do in Sacramento

Of the linked list, our favorite is Old Sacramento. You can also catch a Men's NCAA March Madness Basketball Game at the Golden One Center Thursday, March 16 if you're in town early. If you're in town longer, Lake Tahoe is only a 2 hour drive away. Many ski resorts are still open for the season this time of year. We recommend Heavenly or Kirkwood in South Lake Tahoe. Drive a little farther and you can go to North Lake Tahoe and go to Palisades or Northstar.
