We met at work. Shonda was the trainer and Shawn liked to sleep in class...LOL We found each other attractive, we later found out, but besides me asking for gum everyday, we were just work buddies. Fast forward to years later, we found ourselves single and began hanging out every Friday with our work crew at Applebee's and Cinco's. We would have so much fun and we found that we could trust each other enough to be ourselves around one another. I don't know when it changed but he slowly became my best friend. It took a good friend to help us realize what was right in front of us. And on September 4th, we will make it official. It was Christmas Day 2019 and Shonda was on Santa duty. She was the one in charge of handing out all of the gifts. She had put all of her gifts to the side and it was now time for her to open her gifts. Shonda's father was filming the whole time, which was strange, but she thought nothing of it. The first gift Shonda opened was a beautiful crystal ornament with the words "Will You Marry Me" inscribed on it. Shonda immediately looked up in shock and there was Shawn down on one knee in his matching Polo PJ set. Of course, she said YES!!!! Shonda couldn't believe that her father knew the whole time and didn't even tell her mother!!!! It was one of the best Christmas gifts Shonda had ever received!!!!
