We're getting married!

John and I have known one another for what seems like forever! In all reality it’s only been 13 years! We met through mutual friends one night at a house party. We always had a great time when we were together and were friends ever since meeting that night. Throughout the years of our friendship we seemed to always gravitate back to each other. We had a strong game of cat and mouse in the previous years with nothing coming of it. When talking to John about our history, we both agreed that the right time took so long because we had to grow and learn hard life lessons before God wanted us to be together.

Family photos that ended with a complete surprise with him down on one knee! We were taking family photos with his family at State Park, with nieces, nephews, and all of the dogs! To say the day was hectic was an understatement! We started with getting photos with the trees and greenery then we made our way to the beach for some more photos there. Meanwhile, it’s June, it’s 90 degrees out, the dogs are hot, I was getting tired of holding a tightly pulled leash, John was buried in his phone for pretty much the entirety of our session. While walking toward the beach for the last of our pictures, I asked him what was so important that he couldn’t put his phone down for these pictures. His response, “I’m just talking golf stuff with my buddies!” By the time we get to the beach, we started with a couple photos of John and I with our dogs, then John looked at me and said, “Okay, we are going to get some pictures taken with your family now.” I looked at him beyond confused and said, “What are you talking about? They aren’t here to get pictures with.” He responds, “Yes, they are. Turn around!” Suddenly both dog leashes were taken from our hands, and I turned around to see my entire family walking up the beach behind us. I turned back around and seen John down on one knee asking me to marry him.
