Sehrish's version: We met while volunteering at our community center. The conversations over chai, during our break time, blossomed into a friendship. As I made my way through college and into medical school, Shoaib provided me relentless moral support; believing in me when I did not believe in myself. His support and encouragement continued as I left to do residency in Minnesota. During this time, our feelings for each other evolved and we decided to become besties for life.
