Question

Do you have a registry? What gifts can I give or bring the newlyweds?

Answer

We are so fortunate to already have acquired everything we need, and more, during our years together creating a home in Arizona. We don't know where the future will take us at this time, but we are so excited for all there is to come! We will not be having a traditional registry with physical items. Instead, we will be utilizing cash funds, which will go towards our honeymoon and future plans together. Your contribution to our fund (via Venmo @PJ-Ponciano, link on the Registry page) would be greatly appreciated! We will have red envelopes available on the day of the wedding if you would like to hand these directly to the bride and groom, in traditional Chinese fashion. Some of the ways your contributions will be used include: -Honeymoon to Jamaica to spend some quality time celebrating our love -Starting our new life wherever residency may take us -Treats and toys for Oreo and Zuko -Date nights and adventures as husband & wife -Cooking classes, wine tasting, anniversary dinners -Emergency funds because you never know when life will hand you lemons (and we'll be prepared to make lemonade!)

Where is the wedding being held?

Answer

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:00PM for the ceremony.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your formal invitation for your guest information. Each invited guest will be listed when you RSVP online. If there is no guest listed, we would like to celebrate the day with your presence.

Are kids welcome?

Please refer to your formal invitation which will include each person who is invited.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is preferred. The bride will be wearing white and red, please select colors that differ from these.

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

We would love to have you stay with us at the Presidio Inn or Lodge, which are all within walking distance of the venue! There are many other hotels in San Francisco as well that do not have minimum night requirements. Please note that SF traffic can be unpredictable and we want everyone to safely arrive and depart from the wedding. If staying outside the Presidio, consider uber, a designated driver, or a shuttle. Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Everything is within walking distance. Bringing flats may be a good option for anyone wearing heels or uncomfortable shoes, as the walk is about 5 minutes.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot for $12/day.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please contact PJ directly if you have food allergies. We will be having a buffet-style banquet.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

YES! For anyone 21+, we hope you will celebrate responsibly. For anyone under 21, there is a selection of soda, juice, tea, & coffee.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The wedding party will be around and mingling starting Thursday 4/27, feel free to join us! Evening wine & cheese is provided by the Presidio Inn & Lodge. There will be an afterparty at the Funston house next to the Presidio Inn after the wedding! We hope to see you all there. The weekend is yours! The wedding party will be around Saturday morning to enjoy breakfast together. Feel free to see the city or catch an earlier flight home.
