Our Story
April 2013
We first met in 2013 when we both just started working at Abercrombie & Fitch in Fair Oaks Mall. As soon as we met, we felt that immediate connection and hit it off right away. After several shifts together and endless text conversations, we realized that we had so many things in common and even grew up just a mile away from each other! Our personalities and similar interests complimented each other perfectly and we have been inseparable ever since. We are both from the Washington D.C Metropolitan are. We graduated from George Mason University School of Engineering in 2017 with our undergraduate degree and from Virginia Tech in 2020 with our Master's Degree. We are both currently working at Microsoft based out of Reston, Virginia.
The Proposal

We got engaged on March 3rd 2019 at the Salamander Resort in Middleburg, Virginia. Gurshan's favorite season is winter and so he had always envisioned proposing in the snow. After spending months designing the perfect ring (#engineer) and finding the perfect spot to propose, everything was finally set in motion. The forecast called for snow in Middleburg on Sunday March 3rd, so Gurshan decided to take me on a surprise trip to the Salamander Resort. As the snow flurries started to fall, we ventured into the culinary garden pavilion area of the resort, Gurshan got down on one knee and popped the question. We are so excited to start this new adventure!
