This love story began in July 2019, when the couple met the modern way by swiping right. All fairytales mention "love at first sight", however this was not the case. After a month of continuous talking, Shivang built up the courage to finally ask Krishna out on a date. On August 10, 2019, Shivang drove down to Charlotte to visit Krishna, where they visited a local winery, rooftop bar, and of course ended the night with Taco Bell. The first date was far from ideal, there was no "spark" between them, so they ended things. Shivang and Krishna quickly realized they could not be without each other, so they continued speaking, and decided to give it another shot. From the next date on, things were looking up. Shivang asked Krishna to be his girlfriend on September 29, 2019, and the rest was history. As families were introduced, they both picked up where they left off 20 years ago in India. That's when the couple knew, this was fate. As this fairytale was not a cliche love story, this was their story.

On May 21, 2022, Shivang and Krishna went back to where their story began. As Krishna was getting ready, little did she know Shivang was planning a surprise. She woke up and went downstairs to find a card stating "Meet me where we first met", this is when she quickly realized, this was the day she became a fiancé. As she approached the venue, she was blindfolded, Shivang stood there suited up, and ready to ask Krishna to be his forever. As tears of joy fell from Krishna's face, she quickly said "YES" and was given the most beautiful ring. Nearby stood all their close friends and family, to congratulate the couple on their engagement. This was the beginning of their fairytale.
