Our story began in the summer of 2022 when we both swiped right on each other’s profiles on Bumble. We initially connected over Chemistry (we are both chemists after all), our love for animals and our pets, work, and trips we had taken or wanted to take someday. We went on our first date to Carson Beach, followed by dinner at what would soon become our favorite vegan spot in Somerville - Koshari Mama - and a long walk along the Charles River. Somewhere between the beach views (Shiva basked in the sun while Dylan swam), amazing food, and effortless conversation, something just clicked. Since then, we’ve kept ourselves busy trying new restaurants (while always returning to our go-to spots in Boston and Madison), rock climbing, traveling, hiking, attempting to beat escape rooms, and taking every opportunity we can to be around animals (especially our adopted babies: Tyson, Lea, and Bean). First Impressions: Shiva: To this day, we still get a good giggle at my first impression of Dylan. With his bright eyes, long hair tied in a messy bun, strong eye contact, and deep voice, he gave off classic 'player' vibe. It took me a few dates to realize that behind that exterior was one of the sweetest, kindest, and genuinely loving people I had ever met. Dylan: When I first saw Shiva, I thought she was going to be a snob. She was so put together and had sassy sunglasses that signaled 'don't mess with me'. While she is, indeed, not to be messed with, I have discovered in her the silliest, most empathetic person I have ever met. Now she is my tiny queen.
