FAQs

Question

Where should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), also known as Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. It is the closest major international airport to Orvieto and offers the easiest travel experience for most guests. From Rome, Orvieto is approximately 2 hours away by car or train.

Question

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

We recommend arriving on May 16th as we will be kicking off the celebrations with a welcome party featuring pizza, drinks, and time together. Departure day for all guests, including the bride and groom, will be May 22nd. The wedding itself will take place on May 19th, so we completely understand if you need to arrive later or leave earlier. Optional guest activities are currently in the works, but there will also be plenty of free time to relax, explore Orvieto, and enjoy Italy at your own pace.

Question

Where am I staying?

Answer

Guest accommodations will be split between our villas and nearby lodging. Because space at the villas is limited, the bride and groom will personally assign guests to rooms in the coming weeks. If the villas reach capacity, additional guests will be directed to recommended hotel accommodations listed under the Lodging & Accommodations section of our website.

Question

When is the wedding day?

Answer

Our wedding day is May 19th. The religious ceremony will take place at Convento Cappuccini in Orvieto, followed by our reception celebration at Pietra Campana with dinner, drinks, dancing, and lots of celebrating. Transportation for all wedding day events will be provided for guests.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie. We would love to see everyone dressed in their absolute best with gowns, formal suits, and tuxedos. Bright colors, patterns, and prints are absolutely encouraged!

Question

What will the weather be like in Orvieto?

Answer

May is one of the most beautiful times to visit Orvieto. Guests can expect mild spring weather with daytime temperatures typically ranging from the upper 60s to mid 70s °F (around 20 to 24°C), along with cooler mornings and evenings. We recommend bringing layers for nighttime, comfortable shoes for exploring the cobblestone streets, and a light jacket just in case spring weather surprises us. If the weather decides to be extra kind to us, there may even be time for a pool day, so feel free to pack a swimsuit, sunscreen, and your favorite resort wear just in case. We are in Italy after all!
