Chloe and David met in the fall of 2022 at Bethel Church in Redding, California. Chloe was starting her third year of ministry school interning for the production department where David had been working for the past 6 years. During her internship, she thought he was a cutie and would spend time in the sound booth whenever David was working. They began to spend more and more time together, and David became a lot more deliberate about reaching out over the holidays. When she returned from Christmas break, she saw him at work and his face lit up. Chloe decided to make a move. She pulled him aside the next day and said she wanted to get to know him better, and HE DECLINED! (How dare he!) He was scared. It only took a few days for David to see the error of his ways, build up the nerve, and ask her out on a proper date. Chloe and David had their first date at a little restaurant called Sweet Spot where they got ramen and chocolate cupcakes. The date ended back at David’s house with them listening to a vinyl record (Novo Amor) on his grandpa’s old record player. They knew they had found something special. At Chloe’s graduation David showed up with flowers, met her family, and they became official!

On March 22, 2025, David took Chloe on a very special date. She thought they were only going to a little film festival at the Cascade Theatre, but when he came over to pick her up, he had other plans. He took her to one of their favorite sushi spots and then they went mini golfing. Mini golfing was a date they had tried to make happen for months and it finally happened. David got six hole-in-ones. (He knew this was the luckiest day of his life so far) After golfing, when it was time to go to the film festival, they went to Whiskeytown lake instead! Chloe knew what was coming. When they arrived at the lake, David took her hand and they went on a little hike down to the water where a picnic was prepared with a blanket and rose petals. David read her a few scriptures the Lord had given him the night before. After sitting together for a little while, David got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked Chloe if she would marry him. She said yes!
