Please contact the couple if you need to make adjustments!
Due to limited venue seating, we are unable to accommodate plus one's or children who were not included in your invitation at cocktail hour and the reception. If you have any questions, please contact the couple!
We encourage guests to dress in black-tie optional -- that means a suit and tie for men, and a floor-length or fancy cocktail dress for women. Please avoid wearing white ;) The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held indoors while the reception will be outside in a paved courtyard. While Southern California will be sunny during the day, it will get chilly in the evening. The reception venue will have heaters, but we still recommend bringing layers for the evening.
We have been living together for many years and have everything we could possibly need for our home! As such, we do not have a wedding registry and will kindly decline any physical gifts. We would greatly appreciate if you contributed to our honeymoon fund instead. For more information, please visit the "Honeymoon Fund" section of the wedding website.
We recommend flying into John Wayne airport (SNA) if flights are offered from your location as it is considerably closer than LAX, less busy, and much easier to navigate. The Long Beach airport (LGB) is another option if flights are not offered to SNA. Otherwise, LAX will offer the most amount of flight options. If you need assistance with transportation, please reach out to the couple, and we can help coordinate with friends or family members.
Due to our separate ceremony and reception venue locations, we do not have a central location for the big day. In addition, lodging options are quite limited around the immediate reception venue area. We recommend coordinating with friends & family members who will also be in attendance if possible. If looking to book a hotel room, we would recommend the area around Garden Grove since it is located more centrally in Orange County. But, we also recommend making sure to stay away from the hotels closest to Disneyland right next door to the venue to avoid elevated lodging fees (unless you're planning to visit the parks!).
For non-Catholics: You can expect the traditional wedding processional, followed by scriptural readings, vows (religious vows set by the Catholic church), the exchange of rings, a nuptial blessing, and hymns guided by our presiding priest. If able, you will also be asked to stand for some brief portions of the ceremony. For Catholics: We will be having mass without eucharist and communion as Maggie is not Catholic.
There will be a few hours of time between the ceremony and start of cocktail hour. We encourage you to visit downtown San Juan Capistrano where the reception will be held! The downtown area is highly walkable (or sit-able) and offers much to do -- please visit the "Things To Do" section of the website for all of the activities we've scouted for you!
The ceremony venue will have ample free parking. There is some free street parking around the reception venue, though please be advised to read all street signs carefully! There is also a paid parking garage directly next to the venue located at 26701 Verdugo St Suite B, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 A free parking lot is across the metro station and is a 5-minute walk from the venue at 31791 Los Rios St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 We strongly recommend carpooling and/or utilizing ridesharing services (e.g., Uber, Lyft) as there will be an open bar at the reception.
