So boom, I met Lita in church. I was the drummer, she was the lead. I remember us being in a choir rehearsal and my aunt called Lita out to lead a song. Soon as she started singing I lost it, but in a good way. Her voice was like heaven on earth. From there, the bond was unbreakable. I actually met our oldest son; Jasiah, before I met her. With me being the drummer and him loving drums he just clung to me instantly. If anyone is wondering, YES Lita spoke to me 1st! I’m sure she’d say different but when she spoke to me I didn’t even know she was Jasiahs mom until some time down the road. Lita and I grew to become best friends. We’d stay up all night sharing our goals and dreams, building off each others ideas. Being around Lita brought out a better side of me in many aspects. She helped me see things in bigger perspective. I use to play and call her my wife....now here we are. No dates. No time. I just knew she was mine.
I don’t even know where to start. I know one thing; I didn’t pay that boy no mind! From the beginning, Jasiah loved Lew and I didn’t even know who he was but Jasiah would talk about him all the time and how he beat those drums!! We were friends for years before we ever even went on a date. I use to give him advice on how he should treat his ladies! Little did we know I’d end up being his. so (I’ll pat myself on the back and say I taught him well!) Lew swears I spoke to him first but I definitely don’t remember that. I remember singing in church and then boom we were stuck like glue. (He definitely spoke to me first; just in case y’all were wondering!) Here we are years later and have been through some of the best and some of the worst times but I wouldn’t want to go through it with anyone else. He gets me and that’s why I will forever be skipping to MY Lew!!!
